Aldo Alcota (Chile) is a painter who has exhibited at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn (New York), Galería Taller de Rokha (Chile), Fundación Granell (Santiago de Compostela), Perve Galería (Lisbon), Espacio Valverde (Madrid) and Galería Imprevisual (Valencia), among others. Both his pictorial and literary work are clearly influenced by surrealism, Pataphysics, the Dada movement, the Panic group and Art Brut, as well as others. He is a prominent figure within the Chilean surrealist movement of the late 20th and 21st centuries.
