Son of a hairdresser and a shepherd, Mantraste (Portugal) was raised in the woods like an animal. Graduated in Graphic Design, he’s a fan of the popular mysticism, nature and lives nowadays hidden in Portugal to make graphic design and illustration. He has also taught illustration and printing techniques in Portugal, Spain, Brazil and exhibites his work regularly in solo and collective events. His childhood remain one of the driving forces behind his bucolic and colourful illustrations.
