Dra. Ivania Maturana

Claraboya | May 2025 | 40 PAGES | 20 × 25 CM | hardcover

Explore the hidden side of the universe — where science meets wonder!

We only know approximately five per cent of the visible matter that makes up the universe. The rest remains a mystery and is called dark matter. This is one of the most fascinating theories in physics and answers many of the questions scientists ask themselves when studying the cosmos.

Scientists around the world, such as Vera Rubin, are searching every day for new ways to find it, and thanks to teamwork and technological advances, they are getting closer.

DRA. IVANIA MATURANA (Chile) holds a PhD in particle physics and works as a freelance illustrator. Her research has focused on the search for dark matter and its connection to the study of long-lived particles. She is passionate about science communication, advancing women’s rights in science, and explaining physics through images.
