Filipe Melo (Portugal) is a musician, film director and author published in several countries. After many years as a pianist, he also became a jazz pianist, composer and an orchestrator. In cinema, he developed several cult projects, as well as commercials and music videos. He wrote for the Eisner-winning anthology Dark Horse Presents, alongside names such as Frank Miller and Mike Mignola. In 2019, he received a career award from the Amadora BD Festival. He frequently works with Juan Cavia, with whom he has published several graphic novels.
