Berlin, 1939: Franz Majowski hides a bottle of champagne in his restaurant. In the 1980s, Lloyd Jenkins wanders through America in search of an apple pie. Two short stories — one based on a true story, the other one fictional — that connect taste and memory in a heartbreaking and cinematic visual narrative. Filipe Melo is a musician, film drector and author. Juan Cavia is an art director and illustrator. They frequently work together, having published several graphic novels including the series The Incredible Adventures of Dog Mendonça and Pizzaboy, published by Dark Horse, and Ballad for Sophie, published by Top Shelf and four times nominated for the Eisner Awards.
