The legacy of the Soviet children’s book, a unique phenomenon in the history of world art, is not only a huge array of outstanding artistic material, not only the trajectories of search and discovery of hundreds of famous and little-known masters, but also a panorama of the publishing process throughout the country. After all, Moscow, Leningrad and dozens of regional publishing houses were the points of attraction for creative forces, as well as promoting graphic culture to the masses. This album contains original drawings by artists for covers and endpapers of children’s books from the collection of Nina and Vadim Ginzburg.
