António Jorge Gonçalves (Portugal) is an author of graphic novels and picture books published and exhibited worldwide. Storytelling through images is his passion: from books to theatre art direction and digital light drawing. He is the author of SUBWAY LIFE, a project that consisted in drawing people sitting in subway carriages in 10 cities across the five continents. The website of this project was nominated in the art category of the Flash Film Festival. He was a political cartoonist in Público newspaper for 16 years, having also been published in Le Monde, Courrier Internacional and recognised with 3 World Press Cartoon awards. AJG won the Portuguese National Illustration Award in 2014.
